Zamzam Bangladesh has successfully conducted a three-day orientation and teachers’ training workshop under its impactful project,“Basic Education for Slum Children with Health & Hygiene Support–2026” funded by Zamzam Charitable Trust.
The initiative aims to provide quality primary education to underprivileged children living in slum areas of Sylhet, while also promoting awareness of health and hygiene practices.
Held on April 5 and from April 10 to 11, 2026, the workshop brought together field supervisors, community mobilizers, and teachers. Participants engaged in hands-on training sessions focused on modern, child-centered teaching techniques.
Interactive learning, group-based activities, and practical classroom strategies were at the core of the training—ensuring that teachers are better equipped to create engaging and inclusive learning environments.
The program concluded with a closing ceremony attended by Chief Guest Mr. Kazi Muhammad Zafar, Assistant Education Officer of Sylhet Sadar Upazila. Also present were Mr. Mahbub Sobhani Chowdhury, Executive Director of Zamzam Bangladesh, and Mr. Md. Touhidul Islam, In-Charge of Project Planning and Implementation. The session was moderated by Project Coordinator Mr. Md. Abdul Hannan.
Speakers emphasized the importance of joyful, play-based learning and encouraged educators to apply their newly acquired skills effectively in classrooms.
This initiative highlights Zamzam Bangladesh’s ongoing commitment to empowering disadvantaged communities through education and building a brighter future for children.
