Orientation Held for Vocational Skill Development Training for Youths Project 2024–2025

The orientation program for the trainees of the 4th session, the Vocational Skill Development Training for Youths 2024–2025 project, aimed at enhancing youth skills and creating employment opportunities, has been successfully conducted. The event was held in a festive atmosphere at the Mirabazar branch of Zamzam Training Institute.

The program was presided over by Mr. Mahbub Sobahani Chowdhury, Executive Director of Zamzam Bangladesh. The session was conducted by Abdul Malik, Project Coordinator (VSDTY).

The event was graced by Mr. Fuad Ahmad, Head of the Software Engineering Department at Sylhet Metropolitan University, as the Chief Guest. Mr. Md. Touhidul Islam, In-charge of the Project Planning and Implementation Department of Zamzam Bangladesh, attended as the Special Guest. Mrs. Sumi Ferdous, In-charge of Zamzam Training Institute, delivered the welcome speech. The institute’s trainers were also present.

In their speeches, the guests emphasized the importance of acquiring modern technical skills. They highlighted that a skilled youth community plays a vital role in promoting entrepreneurship, reducing unemployment, and building a stronger national economy. They encouraged the trainees to move forward with confidence.

A total of 126 trainees participated in the orientation program. Additionally, two graduates of the Electrical House Wiring course and two graduates of the Computer Hardware and Networking course—a total of four meritorious and underprivileged trainees—were provided with essential tools and materials as self-employment support.

The event inspired the trainees with renewed enthusiasm and motivation, helping them progress toward becoming skilled professionals and promising young entrepreneurs in the future.
