Participation of Children and Parents in Safe Food, Nutrition & Hygiene

A sensitization session titled “The Food Truth Project” was held on 15 November 2025 at the seminar hall of Zamzam Academy, located in Raynagar Doptoripara. The program was organized by the Rise High Youth Foundation (Department of Social Work, SUST) with overall support from Zamzam Bangladesh.

Dr. Sheikh Tawhida Rahman, Associate—Policy Planning and Research Unit, FIVDB, Sylhet, presented the keynote discussion on safe food, nutrition, and daily hygiene practices. She delivered an easy-to-understand explanation on choosing safe food for children, distinguishing between real and processed foods, the importance of nutritional balance, and the role of families in building healthy eating habits.

Participants included child learners from Zamzam Paradise Garden, the Basic Education Project, and Zamzam Academy, along with their parents and officials from various levels of the organization. The hygiene-focused question–answer session with the children generated highly encouraging responses.

At the end of the program, Mr. Md. Mamunur Rashid Chowdhury, Senior Coordinator, Zamzam Bangladesh, delivered the closing remarks. The event concluded with the presentation of a token of appreciation from the Rise High Youth Foundation.
